I've heard on the A Televisão forums that Biggs was almost bankrupt and that only a few premieres would be held in December.
In my opinion, Biggs needs to continue, but what if it didn't?

The channel is set to continue! It seems that with the channel's recent acquisition of DB: The Legend of Shenron, it will continue giving another one of those steps in the otaku community.
